As technological advancement emerges and keeps evolving, our world could be represented through a series of data showcasing the past, current, and future. Indexes are collected through various types of detectors and then stored as numerical form. By generating basic graphical output such as charts and tables, the pattern and tendency of the data set could be extracted. However, digital media provokes new possibility of the technique we could
engage with data. The project investigates into how might we transfer the obscured data from numerical form to a more intuitive visual interpretation. By utilizing visual coding that links visual information with factual data, the project speculates “digital creature” that is borned with and emerged from raw data.
Data Collection, Interpretation, Visualization
The global form of the particle system is based on an initial geometry, in this case a sphere. Multiple parameter can be adjusted and animated with the climate data input. The micro characterization of the system behavior (turbulence, dimension, coloration) is linked with three main parameters: Sea Surface Temperature Anomaly, Land Surface Temperature Anomaly, Carbon Emission Intensity.
